If you're looking for a truly heartwarming and unique experience in Sunnybank, Pkp Cat Cafe & Pet Grooming is an absolute must-visit. Nestled at 10/158 Station Rd, this charming cat café is much more than a cozy hangout; it’s a sanctuary for rescued and adopted cats, lovingly cared for by passionate owners who clearly put the wellbeing and happiness of their feline residents front and centre.
Walking into PKP Cat Cafe feels like stepping into a peaceful haven where time slows down, and the stresses of daily life fade into the background amidst soft purrs and playful paws. The atmosphere is calm, clean, and welcoming, a perfect spot not just for cat lovers but anyone who’s looking for a soothing retreat with friendly, attentive staff who genuinely adore their kitties. The owner Nikki’s dedication shines through in every aspect—she’s passionate, knowledgeable, and treats each cat with heartfelt care.
While PKP doesn’t serve an extensive drink menu inside the café itself, a clever tip from several visitors is to grab your coffee to go from a nearby spot and settle in with a warm drink while you enjoy the company of the cats. Food isn’t permitted inside, but the ambience—the gentle, calming vibe coupled with the joy of interacting with well-loved rescues—is more than enough to create a memorable experience. You can also purchase treat tubes, which are a delightful way to bond quickly with the cats if you’re meeting them for the first time.
What truly sets Pkp Cat Cafe apart is the quality of care given to each feline friend. Customers consistently praise how healthy, happy, and well-groomed the cats are, reflecting the owners’ commitment to rescue and adoption. This sense of responsibility and love radiates throughout the space, making it a genuinely uplifting visit. Visitors like Andrew Saul appreciate the immaculately maintained environment and note the chillingly pleasant vibe that combines comfort and fun whether you're catching up on emails or making family memories.
It’s worth noting that PKP is mindful of the rules to ensure the cats’ wellbeing, asking guests to treat these gentle creatures with patience and respect. One guest did mention an unfortunate incident with a visitor who disturbed resting cats, but the staff’s overall professionalism and care keep the environment safe and compassionate for all. For those sensitive to cat fur, bringing some antihistamines as recommended by other patrons can help make your visit even more enjoyable.
Beyond the café, Pkp Cat Cafe is expanding its offerings, including pet grooming services that have received heartfelt praise for their excellence and loving approach. It’s truly a local gem where every visit feels like stepping into a friendly community space that supports animal welfare in a tangible, beautiful way.
Whether you’re planning a quiet solo outing, a fun family afternoon, or just a relaxed time with like-minded cat enthusiasts, Pkp Cat Cafe & Pet Grooming promises an experience brimming with charm, compassion, and the sweet company of some of Sunnybank’s loveliest rescue cats. For pure feline joy wrapped with genuine care, this café has got to be on your list.

This cat cafe was really cute! It’s so obvious that Nikki cares about the cats and was super passionate when speaking about them. You can pay for a treat tube and if you weren’t friends with the cats before you will be after that! Would definitely recommend. They don’t have many drinks so I would recommend grabbing a coffee to go from somewhere and sitting in (no food allowed) It was $20 to come in and play with the cats and you can come and go for the whole day if you need.

Had an amazing time! Staff was super friendly and they had so many cats to play with. Atmosphere was great too and the price was really good considering you get over an hour. Will definitely be back!!

My daughter and I had such a blast here! We ended up spending a couple of hours with the cats and enjoying the vibe. They're so lovely and well-looked after! Hard not to adopt one and take them home! We also can't wait until the space expands and the cafe can be reopened, however in the meantime Sunnybank Social is a few doors down and you can bring your food and drink back into PKP which is great. Will definitely be back.

Between 1-3pm on the 21/09 there was a boy manhandling and forcibly carrying some of the cats despite them obviously not wanting to be held at the time. He was going around picking them up and disturbing them while they were resting/sleeping, contrary to the rules. It came to a point where they were being very vocal about it too (you could hear them from across the room) since he just kept doing it and he wasn't respecting their boundaries at all. The attendant supervising the area seemed to notice this happening but to my surprise they didn't intervene despite the rules clearly stating not to be rough with the cats. They approached him but it was not to warn him about his behaviour. At that point I was the one who had to call him out and it was only then that he had left. I hope in future the rules will actually be enforced in the interest of the cats' safety and wellbeing because what I had witnessed was unacceptable. Other than that, the overall atmosphere of the cafe was really nice. I had a great time chilling with the cats and the staff were very welcoming upon entering the premises.

The owner is really nice, and all the cats here are so healthy! What’s even more heartwarming is that they’re all rescued and adopted cats. The pet grooming service is also excellent! Wishing this cozy little place all the best and continued success.

The cats were soooo precious! You can tell employees care about them. The guy at the front got to us straightaway and explained everything really well. I was fine but my friends got stuffy noses, so maybe bring some antihistamines for the cat fur just in case! I also recommend grabbing a drink from outside before you hang out with the cats. This is really a local gem!!!

One of the best trips we ever do as a family. My daughter loves the cats, I catch up on emails (and catch a few cat cuddles ). For how many cats they have it's amazing how clean everything is every time we come and how well groomed the cats are. A very chill vibe.
